BISHOP, Marietta E., age 87, of Germantown, OH, passed away, Monday, May 14, 2012, at Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties surrounded by her loving family. Marietta was born September 25, 1924, to the late Fernia and Mae (Lanier) Barnhart. She was a member of Carpenter’s House Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Richard A. Bishop, Sr.; a son, Lloyd Bishop; 2 grandchildren, Tamara Zimmerman & Brent Rose; and her sister-in-law, Paige Barnhart. She is survived by 2 sons, Richard A. (Sally) Bishop, Jr. of Germantown, and Dale E. (Penny) Bishop of Middletown; 6 daughters, Sue Lyn (Pastor Earl D.) Wilcher, Claudia M. (Darrell) McGuire and Elizabeth A. (Rich) VanSkoyck all of Germantown, Rosemary (Barry) Bergedick of Houston, TX, Peggy J. (Mike Wolfe) Delph of West Carrollton and Tracy L. (Ron) Snelling of Middletown; 21 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, Tom Barnhart of Trenton, Alan (Sharon) Barnhart of Middletown and Glen (Janet) Barnhart of Trotwood; 4 sisters, Betty (Paul) Marshall of Springboro, Dorothy (Claude) Hensley and Joyce (Ed) Brock of Kentucky, and Alycen (Jim) Margerum of Middletown; 3 sisters-in-law, Annie Barnhart of Miamisburg, Betty Barnhart of Trenton and Lisa Barnhart of Kentucky; several nieces, nephews and numerous extended family members. Family and Friends may call 6-8 p.m., Thursday, May 17th, at the Dalton Funeral Home, Corner of State Route 4 & Weaver Rd., Germantown, where the Funeral Service will be held 10 a.m., Friday, with Pastor Earl D. Wilcher officiating. Burial will be at Germantown Union Cemetery. If desired memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties.
